"You can teach a student a lesson for a day, but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives."

Professional development

Through the certificate program Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages I hope to be able to create and foster an inclusive and motivating learning environment so that students love to learn and revise language.

My professional goals

Intercultural classroom

To foster a positive and all-inclusive learning environment that is student-oriented and incorporates the background and knowledge of every student – so that students feel safe and motivated to participate in class.

Technology

As a teacher, I will present the topics in a student-oriented way and use appropriate technologies and tools to engage students in class and further interest in the topic.

Instructions

My instructions will be based on curricula, but I will also focus on the class’ knowledge, skills and interests. I will use up-to-date learning strategies and methods appropriate for the students and their learning experiences.

Life-long learner

I will engage in current talks and discussions about language acquisition and methods with my peers. Furthermore, I will broaden my horizon by participating in further courses and programs so that I am up-to-date with the most recent teaching developments and use them for my classes.
